Team Faulty Pipes is back at it again this year working to raise money for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. Unfortunately, the Gear family will not be in town for this year's walk (Barefoot Country Concert in Wildwood - we are pumped!), but we still plan to raise funds for Philadelphia Take Steps. Although the walks are always a great time, the fundraising leading into the event is really what makes all the difference in the world for people like Liam and I.

As you probably are already well aware - I was diagnosed with Crohn's at 30 and Liam diagnosed with Crohn's at 10.

Discomfort, pain, weight gain, weight loss, vision issues, skin issues, many many needles, hospital stays and too many side effects to count have filled our last several years. But, this disease has taught us how to rally and push through, how to take the little things less seriously, and how to tell when we really need to use a sick day to recoup.

We've been on medications that simply didn't work, but thanks to the money raised and the never ending research, there are so many drugs to choose from to help us stay under control.

I do not know what the future holds, but I pray that Liam sees a cure in his lifetime - sooner rather than later! And, your support goes directly to those efforts.

Last year as honored heroes, you all helped us raise over $4,000 which greatly surpassed our goal. Thank you for your past support. This year, we may not be walking, but your annual support in helping make a difference in the lives with those living with IBD is just as important.

Thank you for supporting us and our Faulty Pipes!
