THE PURPLE BAG PROJECT
Halloween Happiness Delivered:
Bringing smiles to kids in difficult times
Emily’s Trick or Treat to Cure Crohn's & Colitis provides Halloween fun to kids in the Savannah area, but unfortunately there are many children in the community who don’t get to experience Halloween, and raise funds to find Cures for Crohn's and Colitis.
THE PURPLE BAG PROJECT is a new way to expand the reach of Emily’s Trick or Treat to Cure Crohn's & Colitis and deliver Halloween joy.
Children will receive a purple tote bag filled with Halloween-themed goodies including STEM Activities, toys, crafts, and candy! Will deliver the bags to local hospitals, homeless shelters, and more.
Since 2017, Emily’s Trick or Treat to Cure Crohn’s and Colitis has brought together families and local businesses for a fun-filled fall afternoon and raised more than $500,000 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
Emily Moore was a mother to two children, a devoted wife, sister, daughter, and friend who fought colitis for nearly 20 years before appendiceal cancer took her life at the age of 35 in2017. Emily’s friends and family created this event to celebrate her spirit and give back to the organization that supported her and supports so many others.
The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
