At Take Steps, we’ll come together to honor the journeys of those living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Every step we take, and every dollar we raise will create awareness, fund critical research, and show everyone touched by this isolating disease that they are not alone.

EXPERIENCE TAKE STEPS

We cannot wait to celebrate together the steps we have taken towards cures for IBD on Saturday, May 18th. We have an incredible day planned at The Shops at Clearfork. Below you will find important information to prepare for the day. 

Event Schedule:

  • Check In & Festival: 9:00 a.m. – *Arrival time*
  • Opening Ceremony: 10:15 a.m.
  • Walk Starts: 10:30 a.m.
  • Event Concludes: 12:00 p.m. 

Walk Route & Length: We have 1 mile and 5K options.


Address: The Shops at Clearfork located at 5188 Monahans Ave, Fort Worth.


Parking: Free parking available in parking garages and around shopping center.


Bathroom Access: Signage will direct you to public restrooms that are available onsite at The Shops at Clear Fork.

What To Expect:

  • First Stop - Trailhead sponsored by Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth: Upon arriving at the walk site, there will be signage to direct you to registration. This is where you will check-in/register for the walk. If you have any offline donation checks/cash you can turn in donations at check-in. If you have not made a donation, you can do so here as well.
  • #1 - Dedication Ribbons: Everyone who attends Take Steps will receive a Dedication Ribbon to use in our Opening Ceremony. Stop by the Dedication Ribbons tent to write why you are taking steps. Hold onto this ribbon for a special moment during our opening ceremony program.
  • #2- Base Camp sponsored by Texas Health Resources Harris Methodist: Do you have questions about your or a loved ones’ diagnosis? Stop by the Base Camp to find resources and get connected with the Northern Texas/ Oklahoma Chapter! Be sure to pick up your Badges to reflect your commitment and connection to IBD.
  • #3- Camp Oasis Corner sponsored by Cook Children’s Medical Center: kids of all ages will enjoy fun activities and crafts in the vibe of our own beloved Camp Oasis. Learn more about our Texas Camp Oasis coming up June 
  • Provisions sponsored by Saint Arnold: All participants are invited to stop by the provisions tent for water, fruit and a snack. We also have non-alcoholic beverages provided by Saint Arnold’s Brewing Co.

  • CRAFT: Stop by our Craft tent to learn about this year's Craft Cocktail Competition on September 7th and enjoy a mimosa for 21+ participants.
