At Take Steps, we’ll come together to honor the journeys of those living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Every step we take, and every dollar we raise will create awareness, fund critical research, and show everyone touched by this isolating disease that they are not alone.

Dedication Ribbon Ceremony: 10:30 am

We welcome our IBD community to stay and enjoy our reserved picnic space following the walk. We invite you to bring your own picnic (BYOP). Bottled water and light snacks will be available.

The event space will be in Picnic Area 9, highlighted on the map below along with the restroom locations (their hours and locations are also detailed below). You can view a full, larger map on the Oaks Park website


Parking Details: Oaks Park requires a parking fee. Parking fees are $5 per day and are only payable onsite via self-service parking meters or on your mobile device at t2p.mobi/oaks1905. Parking spaces are first-come, first-served. The closest bus stop is approximately 1 mile away. Bike racks are available near the Ferris Wheel. The top five Take Steps teams will receive free parking for two vehicles per team. Team Captains will receive the parking code prior to the event.

Approximately 1 mile

Bathroom Access
Take Steps participants will have access to the Oaks Park restrooms. The restrooms located by the Tilt-A-Whirl will be open starting from 7 am. These are the restrooms closest to our event area in Picnic Area 9. The restrooms across the center parking lot will be open by around 10 am. There are single-user restrooms near the front entrance to the roller rink that will be open by around 10 am. The restrooms by the main office will be open by around 11:30 am.

Furry Friends
Friendly pets are allowed at Portland Take Steps! Please be sure that they remain on a leash and that you pick up after them.
